help me plz!
ok im kinda confused if my disk gets scratched or is broken and will not load the game (install) what can i do without buying another game? Can yu\ou
send it in for a new one or what? my game always when i try to install it after trying to replace it wiht a new terrain. It always stops at 76% and
then says error code 117, BUT...this is the wierd part....i have erased everything that has to do with that game and the disk was not even in the
drive when i replaced the .pff files for the terrain. so as u c im really stumped, is it my cd or is it something on the computer like a scratch?(the
disc is kinda scratched...only one or 2 small scratches) help

1/ u didnt back up the game folder before screwing around did u? even running a update ...backup.when the back is running fine back it up to See my
sig.
2/Tryed reinstalling to a diff location?
eg c:\bhd\
3/ get a soft lint free cloth and dry polish the disk surfaces.
4/ the nocd patches are so u can keep the discs safe
5/ a long shot...remove and read only properties on any files in the game folder.

broken wont work
if the disk is broken it wont work at all so this option is out it might work with a small crack at the outside but any crack that is inside wont
allow the reader to read the cd
you can buy a cheap scratch removing kit or buffer but this may not be the most economic way to fix the problem but its nice to have it laing around
so if is ever needed again u have it

Yep so only use orginal .exe or make a 2nd install on your machine for nova games...this has been discussed in previous threads.

yes
TOE is right, if u use a NO-CD crack !!DONT LOG IN!!. DFLW was the only DF game i ever logged in on and basically the only reason i did that was to
see if any of the servers where running my maps so i could test them in a good server and so i could join a game with custom maps(when u log in it
displays maname in the lobby)......well anyway my DFLW started messing up i would join a public game and get booted it turns out it was something to
do with the no-cd patch since then ive reistalled DFLW and NO-CD crack, had no problems but i havent tried logging in. i dont like stock maps anyway
so im not missing out just my opinion
