I've had limited success with the music, here's some notes I made while researching...This research took a lot of time on my part, and still isn't finished, please, if you need to give it to someone, tell them where it came from..DFB..

Don't forget, you need an unlocked med...

Thanks..EE

Notes on "Global Effects" Music values

The Area Trigger may not be used to trigger an event, only the music, If you require an event, use a second AT over the one you have set for Music.

Known Values for the "Music" in the general information using an "Unlocked Med". These values are taken from the SP games in both BHD and BHDTS

BHD as follows

SP file name - Mission name - Value

SPBHD_01 Marka Breakdown 1
SPBHD_02 Bandits Crossing 2
SPBHD_03 River Raid 3
SPBHD_04 Gasoline Alley 4
SPBHD_06 Besieged 6
SPBHD_08 Radio Adid 8
SPBHD_10 Russian Underground 10
SPBHD_11 Shattered Palace 11
SPBHD_13 United Knights 13
SPBHD_14 Shore Patrol 14
SPBHD_15 Irene 15
SPBHD_16 Lost Convoy 16
SPBHD_17 Valiant Soldiers 17
SPBHD_18 Last Stand 18
SPBHD_19 Mogadishu Mile 19
SPBHD_20 Adid Takedown 20

BHDTS as follows

TSBHD_01 Drug Smugglers Harbor 1
TSBHD_02 Jungle Airfield Takedown 2
TSBHD_03 Jungle Raid 3
TSBHD_04 Attempted Arrest 4
TSBHD_05 Island Villa Assault 5
TSBHD_06 Kharg Island Infilration 6
TSBHD_07 Kharg Isalnd Oil Terminal 7
TSBHD_08 Doroud Oil Drilling Platform 8
TSBHD_09 Coastal Pipeline Pump Station 9
TSBHD_10 Gachsaran Oil Field 10
TSBHD_11 Rebel Mountain Stronghold 11

**************************************************************
There are set "Z" values for the Area triggers using var(4).
The AT wit the Lowset SSN number has an absolute Z value of 0
The AT wit the Highest SSN number has an absolute Z value of 16384

"Z" Heights for a trigger with var(3) may vary.

**************************************************************

Some notes on SPBHD_19 Mogadishu Mile

Player starts in AT #2 var(4) 80
Then Steps into AT #1 var(3) 1
Triggers next AT #7 var(4) 85
Triggers next AT#6 var(4) 84
Triggers next AT#3 var(4) 81
Triggers next AT#4 var(4) 82
Triggers next AT#5 var(4) 83

**************************************************************
Known Values taken from "Aidid Takedown" and "Mogadishu Mile"

Known Values for var(3) 1, 50, and 64
Known Values for var(4) 80, 81, 82, 83, 84, 85 and 86

**************************************************************
Player seems to trigger var(4) 80 first, but I haven't checked all the missions.

**************************************************************

Area Trigger numbers..taken from "Mogadishu Mile"

AT1 = var(3) 1
AT2 = var(4) 80
AT3 = var(4) 81
AT4 = var(4) 82
AT5 = var(4) 83
AT6 = var(4) 84
AT7 = var(4) 85

So, from this we may say that the number of the Area Trigger may be Important, so, number your Area Triggers Carefully.

**************************************************************

So I uninstalled the game and ive tried to reinstall but the setup install screen won't show up. Please help I really want to finish my Yurek map.

Thanks..the delay you have is usually caused by incorrect video drivers, if you have DirectX 9b installed, then get the latest video driver, if you have an old one, you get a lag effect, I have an nVidia card, and the older drivers sometimes do this...make sure you completely remove the old drivers..before installing the new ones..use the unistall in the "add Remove" on your "Control Panel" to do this..

ok ive been testing no you dont need to set a Z value you have to make them go in order like var 80 first then 82 then 83 and so on untill you get the last bit of music for the last part of the mission so u cant start with the end peace of music if you get what i mean you cant play 85 first it has to be 80 then on wards

TS Music??

Hey I got this music thing down pretty good, I'm just wondering how I can get TS music in my map. All I seem to come across is BHD music. Anybody know how I can specify that I want TS music to be played?

Custom Sounds - MP Games

Hello,

Is it possible to play MP3's converted to wav files in MP games? I'm Playing BHD, BHDTS and BHDTS Final Conflit. I created the blank wac file per EE instructions but, what is needed to go in here and from where? I used PFF extractor to pack wav file into PFF but, Med doesn't see it, Why? Do I need unlocked med or which one should i use? I have been looking on forums but, no luck. Just need some info.

The med won't see it..you call it up with a wac file..or, you create a lwf (I think..lol, been a while).. file to call it up via an event...(play Dialog)

All the players must have the new wave to be able to hear it..

Ok, this was immensly helpful, but...

Thanks to those who went through the trouble to figure this stuff out, but is it possible to determine the exact numbering and sequence that the triggers and variables have to go in to make all the music work right? I've been messing with this, using the numbers posted by Eagle Eye and joselz, and it's hit and miss with getting the music to work. It also seems that mixing different bits of music isn't possible since the values are pre determined for each set of tracks, which is too bad because I wanted a map to start with the beginning music from Bandit's Crossing, and then go to the tunnel escape music from Russian Underground. Oh well, but it's nice to get some music in. Thanks

Music list for TEAM SABRE

Below is a list of all the Team Sabre maps with the variable numbers for each map and in the order they are played in each map.
NOTE: "Each GLOBAL MUSIC is numbered the same as each map number. TSBHD_01 has the GLOBAL number 1, TSBHD_02 GLOBAL number 2, and so on, and so on".

*********************************************************************

TSBHD_01 "Drug Smugglers Harbor"

GLOBAL MUSIC 1

AT1 = V(4) 81
AT2 = V(4) 82
AT3 = V(4) 83
AT4 = V(4) 84
AT6 = V(4) 86
AT5 = V(4) 85

***********************************************************

TSBHD_02 "Jungle Airfield Takedown"

GLOBAL MUSIC 2

AT1 = V(4) 83
AT2 = V(4) 82
AT4 = V(4) 83
AT5 = V(4) 81

***********************************************************

TSBHD_03 "Jungle Raid"

GLOBAL MUSIC 3

AT1 = V(4) 81
AT3 = V(4) 83
AT2 = V(4) 82

***********************************************************

TSBHD_04 "Attempted Arrest"

GLOBAL MUSIC 4

AT1 = V(4) 81
AT2 = V(4) 82
AT3 = V(4) 83
AT5 = V(4) 85

***********************************************************

TSBHD_05 "Island Villa Assault"

GLOBAL MUSIC 5

AT1 = V(4) 81
AT2 = V(4) 81
AT3 = V(4) 82
AT4 = V(4) 82

NOTE: V(4) 83 is not used in the map, but will play.

***********************************************************

TSBHD_06 "Kharg Island Infiltration"

GLOBAL MUSIC 6

AT1 = V(4) 81
AT2 = V(4) 82
AT3 = V(4) 81
AT4 = V(4) 82

***********************************************************
TSBHD_07 "Kharg Island Oil Terminal"

GLOBAL MUSIC 7

AT1 = V(4) 81
AT2 = V(4) 82
AT4 = V(4) 84
AT3 = V(4) 83

***********************************************************

TSBHD_08 "Doroud Oil Drilling Platform"

GLOBAL MUSIC 8

AT1 = V(3) 28 V(4) 1
AT2 = V(4) 81
AT3 = V(4) 82

***********************************************************

TSBHD_09 "Coastal Pipeline Pump Station"

GLOBAL MUSIC 9

AT1 = V(4) 81

NOTE: Global music 9 will start playing in the map without being in any area trigger.
V(4) 82 is not used in the map but will play the MENU music
***********************************************************

TSBHD_10 "Gachsaran Oil Field"

GLOBAL MUSIC 10

AT1 = V(3) 8 V(4) 1
AT2 = V(4) 81
AT3 = V(4) 82

***********************************************************

TSBHD_11 "Rebel Mountain Stronghold"

GLOBAL MUSIC 11

AT2 = V(4) 81
AT1 = V(4) 80
AT3 = V(4) 81
AT4 = V(4) 81

NOTE: V(4) 82 and V(4) 83 not used in map, but will play.

*********************************************************************

The V(3) 8 and V(3) 28 with V(4) 1 seems to act as a trigger to play 81 and 82 no matter how many times you visit each area trigger.
I tried them with other musics and got nothing. So I assume that if they will play other musics, then there would have to be other numbers involved.

V(4) 80 is used to turn the music off. It will "NOT" turn off all the musics at anytime or place you would like it turned off.

*********************************************************************

AREA TRIGGERS: It appears that they have to be numbered 1 thru 6 and some must overlap anywhere from a little bit to fully enclosing one another.And i might also add, they are some what sensitive about how they are placed.

*********************************************************************

OK! SO NOW YOU WANT TO PLAY TEAM SABRE MUSIC IN YOUR MAPS...

First thing you do is pick the name of a Team Sabre map that you would like to use for your map.
Pick a STOCK map name, NOT the MENU name.

When you make the BIN file,you put the name that you would really like to have in there so it will showup in the MENU with that name. if not it will show in the MENU as tsbhd_what ever number you picked.

use that name for your MIS file and all other files,WAC,BIN,til,pcx and so on.

The STOCK maps are: tsbhd_01
tsbhd_02
tsbhd_03
tsbhd_04
tsbhd_05
TSBHD_06
TSBHD_07
tsbhd_08
TSBHD_09
TSBHD_10
tsbhd_11
Notice please that some are lower case and UPPER CASE.

Some of you are getting excited now and think that my stock map is going to be gone if I do this.
Not to worry! your stock map AIN'T gone, it's just more or less covered up. As long as it stays in the EXP1 file it will not get deleted.

When you finish makeing and playing the map, move it and all the related files to another folder or delete it and the stock map will show in the MENU again.

This is the same as makeing a BHD or BHD_TS map, the only difference is that you have to use a TEAM SABRE STOCK MAP NAME in order for the music to work.

*************************************************************************

Last thing! It should be the map makers RESPONSIBILITY to inform the people in the map DESCRIPTION that his or her map was made with that particular stock map name. Because someone out there is without a doubt in my mind, going to unzip a map into there DFBHD folder and wipeout all kinds of hours spent on something they were working on that had the same name.

*************************************************************************

Now go make maps, good luck, be carefull, and that is all I know at this time.

I would like to THANK sharpsniper for making me think, if had'nt made the post he made on playing this music i would'nt have gone digging around. THANKS

Regards
