Map Description:
Here comes my final IC version of the Black Hawk Down theme.
Insert into Mogadishu using a force of almost 100 soldiers. Pick up the target persons and return them to your base. then head for Michael Durants and Wolcotts crashsite. Secure the site and destroy the downed Blackhawks. Check for survivors. Some little secret objectives and events can be found. Only teamwork does it ! 4-10 players will be keept busy. Many powerups hidden in the map(check commander screen), many sniper spots and vehicles - mostly civilian. forgive me the compromises but will all the Bots on your side the map gests too slow, so they will die away. buts you and your mates can make it! Map aends after 2 hours if objectives are not met.
Be warned : THis map only runs on very fast dedicated servers at acceptable speed. Play it over LAN to enhance the speed. Reduce settings if needed.
be easy on me - this map takes a hell of a PC because so many things are going on at the same time. See for yourself. Maybe I will supply a lite version later. beware of nasty housewifes......
LOOKING for skilled Fraps movie makers ! Can you put together a short ( max 5 min.) movie with many spectator views, music and intro ? Even a fictive story based on the maplayout acted by players. Send me your works (link) at adrenalinemedia@web.de, post them at Youtube the 3 first videos will be awarded and re-warded (no bucks) and your work will be promoted.

Well, Ive played your map, not going to rate...just some helpful tips:
1. You could use the dvd4 terrain and make it similar to the BHD Irene mission, and since Mogadishu is a coastal city.
2 . It was a bit confusing to play the map at first. I was wondering around, when it told me to go to the Wolcotts crash site. I got confused, wondered around, when I got the message that Durants Black Hawk is down...it was very hard to find, where to go on the spinmap, plus I got killed by a tank(!) rolling down the street...
3. You could add to the text "man the convoy at PSP A," since the convoy was waiting there, when that notice of Super 6-4 down arrived.
Non then less, its a great map, altough its 1.1 Mb big...explains, why it isnt listed with other maps, huh ;)

1.I have tried the DVD4 terrain but it appear to have to many hills for such a large city. That would have been a problem with the big city blocks. Also the player will only notice that when he approaches the city. So I decided to use this one. It is a compromise and not the only one I had to make.
2.One old russian tank should be ok in that large city.somalian warlord had such tanks and there is only one in the map. I did that because of having more variety of weaponclasses. AT4s or Javelins are carried by some players and its a good way to make use of them. Also the technicals are too easy to take out. I know historically not correct but a little bit salt and pepper to increase the action.
3. Confusion: the crashsites are indicated with red dots on the map. also the pilots throw red smoke. I dont want to lead the player on an exact course to the scene. He can choose which way to take for himself and I want him to search for the location. I hope that people will play this map more than once. Then they will know where the BHs have landed but still it will be hard to get there in time.
4.Convoy: I said there will be little "secret" missions and objectives. If you know the movie then you know what to do with the trucks and hummvees at the Olympic hotel.
And yes, it takes time to learn all the interactions that are hidden here, I want players to explore something new each time they play it so I did not explain what to do in each and every detail. I hope that challenge is a fun factor ;-) Thanks for testing the map so early. The problem with the database seems to have nothing to do with the map or my account. Several users are having issues, will be fixed soon I am sure.
