Map Description:

Operation Irian Jaya: this is my first coopmap in JO. You have 7 goals : Destroy weapon crates, destroy weapon emplacements, destroy technicals , find and destroy radio and antenna, eliminate helicopters, kill all targets at waypoint Echo and finally reach the end waypoint. This is a hard mission along a small stream. Follow all waypoints and use the river to find your way. A number of bad guys are respawning and are fighting mercilessly to the end .You can play this mission all alone but playing in group is recommended. Please , all comments to redlassam@hotmail.com . Have a good time playing and rate fairly the map.

I first want to say that was a pretty good first map, however, for playability I would have to say frustration is a MAJOR factor in this map. You employed almost maximum respawners in this map which makes it very frustrating to me. For example when you kill a guy, and go get the flag, run around the building and the guy that you killed just 1 minute ago, magically reappears in front of your face while going back around that same building and kills you, then that is total BS. This is what happens throughout this map and I have to say that is the major flaw in this map. There are maps where respawners are OK, but continually AFTER you have taken over an area, is again total BS. Reminds me alot of the JO stock map Indigo Specter with hundreds of respawners. Keep Trying Guy.

Respawn makes the hair in my neck to raise...respawn is good if you use it where peoples dont figure out where and when... and set a limit for respawning

The map looks very nice, good layout and use of sound markers, seems you spend some time on making it look interesting. However, the AI needs some more work, it's almost unplayable. As said above, the AI doesn't just respawn, they respawn right in your face and kill you with 1 shot. Having a few AI that respawn ahead in the map and running towards you is fine (don't forget to shut them off using groupspawn() wac command when the player enters their spawn zone), but enemies with RPG that respawn right next to you, not just once, but at least 5 times (that is at much as I tried to get rid of them) doesn't make it enjoyable to play anymore. But I think when you remove the respawning, or only respawn a few enemies where you don't see them respawn, and maybe tweak the accuracy a bit, it can be a fun map to play.

I thought it was cool to have respawning targets when you play a map in group. So, I did an update and took all the respawning out. Game play must be much better now. Thanks for the comments and advice .

Can't play it online as I always get thrown off punkbuster - no idea why - but I managed to get most of it done (don't have the time this time of year to spend much time on games). Pretty damn good for a first try. Glad you crossed over, BHD has more civilians and the face commands work in the WAC files, and you can fast rope but the gameplay in this and the DFX series is much better. If you turn out maps with this as you have in BHD then we're in for a treat. Keep em coming.

My map was posted in the Joint Operations Thyphoon Rising lobby. I tried to make a new mission in the AW 2 mod but my map was not working because of oversize errors. The max/min objects were not reached but a had always the same oversize errors. So... i deleted the mods because it it BS. I found no info on the forums too .. and all what i will do is making maps in the Med Jo TR and JO E.....

Ok, must have been a storage error by me, sorry. I have downloaded and played all the COOP maps on DFB and its quite a job to organise them. I add the mod name to the end of every file name if its not already there. We really enjoyed your map it played well and had some nice touches. Keep up the good work.
