Map Description:

UPDATED! "You and detachment gold have been given the go for operation DF STORM. You will insert by APC under heavy fog on the 16th of january. You will secure the hostages befor moving to the second island and clearing the staging base. Airial recon shows tat the second island has a chopper it has also shown light resitance. Look for documents about where the chopper came from." And so you start... the first part of this mission was based on a real thing that happened after 9/11. the rest is to make it more ineresting. this mission has WAC, TIL , and pre mission breafing. This will only work after you die... Now has walkthrough included! UP FOR TECH. REVIEW!

I liked the effects(lightin) and the speech dialog.....good format and great directions..a little more detail would be Great.......you got the map-makin talent for sure,just sharpen the edge a little :) I'm still playin it and will look forward to your next mission 4/5 from me Keep um Comin.........A fan here in Penna.THANKS

Technical Details: Trees floating at F,-3; F,-2; E,-4 (2); E,-3 (2); D,-2 (2); D,-1; E,0 (2); E,1 (2); E,2; F,4; G,3; G,4 and G,5 (2). Actually it seemed like only all the trees with a root system were floating (the Large or Medium desert tree). Rocks floating at F,-3; E,1; E,4 and G,4. WAC executing as soon as the map loads saying Tango Down. This happens prior to clicking on continue from the loading screen. I checked the wac file and there dosen't appear to be any errors that would cause this. Perhaps in your re-working of the map, one of the ssns used as a trigger was removed causing this command to play immediately. There are two commands for wave files that may give you trouble. You have them listed as: 10mt505d.wave dltc029d.wave The file name in both cases should end with .wav General Information in the .mis file has Cooperative checked off. Nice mission loading screen. The screen shot used is way too dark to give any idea about what to expect in the map. Playability: A very short map with easily attainable goals. In fact so easy the only thing the player needs to do is shoot down the helicopter. The first time I played the map, I was at infil inspecting some floating trees and rocks when I received the message that the enemy at the first island had been defeated and the hostage rescued. When I arrived at the APC, there she was waiting to be taken off the island. Moving on to the second island after shooting down the helicopter was pretty much the same thing. Although I did get to shoot a few bad guys, the blue team did almost all the work. Very few enemy that are relatively easy to defeat. Overly easy mission goals. A not particularly challenging map. I don't think this will leave many players feeling as satisfied on completion as they would like.
