Map Description:
UPDATED! UPDATED! UPDATED! V1.6 After 436 Downloads--
Situation: After U.S. Marines withdrew from Haiti in 2004, the U.N. responded by deploying Peace Keeper forces to Haiti.
These Forces include Armada de Chile (Chilean army), and other countries.
Guy Philippe's heavy rebel group has divided. One group opposes the U.N., while the second has remaind friendly.
The group opposing the U.N. operates a radio station in Hati that is broadcasting anti-U.N. propaganda throughout the region.
Mission:
The ally Rebel group, have been cooperating with the U.N., they have plant Thermal and Heart Breath sensors inside the radio station.
We cannot insert you directly onto the Radio station by BH because the Enemy group has set up Guided Surface-To-Air missiles on the roof top.
The Allied and Enemy groups do not fight each other, but, the allied Group has agreed to provide some of their technicals for transport. A local informant will take you to the Radio station in the technicals at waypont Decca.
Insertion by this method will make the Enemy group think that you and your team are rebels, and will not attack you.
However, if the enemy Group discovers that you and your team are NOT rebels, they will attack you, so stealth is vital.
Your Task:
You've been ordered to undertake a stealth raid during evening to take it off the air. A Chilean Army BlackHawk will
insert you near a small village controlled by Allys Rebels. Then you must meet our local informant who will take you in technicals to the radio station.
Be advised, once the technicals cross the bridge, you will be entering enemy controled areas, so keep your team quiet in there, you may not want the enemy to discover you are not Rebels.
Once the Guided Missiles luancher troops have been eliminated, Whiskey 3 will Land near the Radio station for Extraction.
Team Tactis:
Use Extreme Tactics, use your Teammates command if needed, set them to follow you (Team Spaces) at 1 Meter to avoid having them get stuck.
Before a room Take Down, Wait for your tammates to LINE UP next to the door to avoid getting them stuck.
Your are responsible for your team survival. There will be no Med-Evac available while in hostile territory, so protect your team.
Press "G" during game play to see briefings. Press "Tab" during game play to see Mission Goals.
We calculate that you would be reaching the radio station by the Night.
Good look, Liutenat Colonel 5-1

You MUST have you DFBHD updated to V1.5.0(V1.5.0.5) for the .CIN file work correctly.

This is a very good map. The mission was well executed and well planned. However, since this was a "stealth" mission, shouldn't the player and the squad be armed with the Mp5 SDs? The opening and closing scenes were good, and adds a good touch to it. However, the RPG crews were well hidden and it took me a while to get through the "convoy" part of it. The enemy AI on this map was smart and well hidden at times, but they seemed to be a little too accurate at times. I found the transition from day to night to be interesting and quite innovative for BHD maps, but the transtion from Day to Night seemed to be too fast. Also, when i reached the city and it was night time, the informant was sititng on top on the roof of the truck. A nice loading screen was pleasing to the eye as well. An excellent map that isn't too short or extremely long. Good map and keep up the good work

Well, anyway, you reminded me of that :)
Great challenge. I tried it last night and amazingly didn't get through. So I will keep trying.
I love the intro movie, really innovative, I love the transition to night, but it couldn't be at a worse possible time - you dismounting and getting shot at from all over. :)
I love the fact that the AI really seem to BE smart, becoz they fire while running, not like what I've seen so far. I also like the way you start sitting in the BH, instead of the regular standing position or such.
My few suggestions would be to add some briefing or anything informative during the intro movie, assuming you can. Next, I noticed the waypoint areas are VERY narrow and they take a while to switch to the next waypoint. If you did it on purpose, so the user would move accurately and wait to check the area at each position than I withdraw it.
All in all, I am very impressed and quite saddened that I can't get the MED to work properly, coz I want to implement some ideas of my own..
I'd give you a 10, but the mission might be slightly too difficult (I actually rechecked the docs to see if it was a CO-OP by any chance, hehe), so I'll rate it an enthusiastic 9!
Love the previous Haiti scenarios too!

Well, I tried to play all the way through this mission and never made it to the end. My waypoint stopped working (got hung up?) after I went over the barricade, so I had no idea where to go after that. I followed the enemy and guessed where the radio station was (the building). But I'd used all my saves and kept getting killed by re-spawning enemies (whic I detest) so, after about thirty tries, I got frustrated and just quit the game. The enemies were too accurate and sometimes hard to see with the night vision goggles on (another thing I hate). Teammates were some help, but not enough to keep me from getting killed dozens of times. Just a very frustrating mission for me. The good points are: Wonderful decorations--- some of the best I've seen. Very good sounds. Cool opening sequence. Nice layout and tiles. This would definitely rate a TEN from me ---IF--- if it wasn't so darn difficult. Just too hard. I'd would have enjoyed playing this mission if it were a little easier. BUT-- After geting killed thirty times, I get frustrated and angry (!) and just rather quit the mission. I know Joselz put a LOTTTT of work into this mission. Just wish I could have finished it. I tried!

As davesnow put it, it's a bit too difficult. I only now just finished the level. However, there's a Nova-Quality layout and the sounds are good, but the music in the beginning gets very distracting. I loved the opening sequence. The waypoints all worked fine for me, so good job with that. Overall, it's a good map, definetly Nova-Quality, it's just a little too hard! You should probably update it with less accurate guys for us noobs ;)
I'll give it an 8/10

YUp, I also agree the enemy is too accurate. Simply put. It is night. You need NVG's to even see them, let alone pop them, whereas they for some reason seem to have genetic night vision like cats :)
Waypoint also dies for me after I blow up the barricade. And I too hate respawning enemies in SP, unless the mission is designed so that you must run away or have a SAW handy :)

Well it wasnt just me then, I thought I was getting too old and slow to play these maps, Lol.
I am still stuck at the road block after going on foot, but then noted a re-spawner behind me next to the HumVee, after I had been zapped a dozen times trying to get out and wondered where the hell it was coming from.
I too, noted the accuracy of the enemy and if thats how good they shoot, I want one of their guns, hehe.
Also had some slight lag under heavy fire and explosions. AMD XP-3000+ 1gb DDR 400 mem, Rad 9200SE. I might see. if lowering the Video settings makes any difference.
Unfortunately, this one is too hard for me and will try to finish it, but will give you an 8/10 for all the work you have put into it.
Keep up the good work and look forward to your next Map.

Making full use of the available tools Joselz has once again brought a truly professional product to DFBarracks. A map with simple goals, that is, until you start the mission. A difficult and determined enemy will keep you busy and ducking. A very good use of tiles and decorations. Though this seems to be becoming a Joselz trademark. Like some others, I prefer daylight maps and weapons with a scope (or at elast something better than an iron sight - lol) however I'm not rating my playing abilities. A good use of dialog, wac files, sound and events ensure this map is a joy to play. You will need a bit more time to play this than normal. Expect to use ALL saves available. It's a difficult map even after being dumbed down for us older players. I've been playing this since it's pre-release and Joselz continuously takes concern for his maps and is responsive to user comments making necessary corrections to ensure the map only gets better. You will like this one. Keep up the good work. 10/10

I was going to just say, I played it and finished it! Great work, very impressive I wish I could do something of the sort..
Possible bugs:
- When you meet the informant just about at the time, when he starts speaking you (the player) get raised as if you stepped on something and than drop back.. It's a very slight "displacement". Anyone else noticed?
- "I hope this guy knows the way..." gets repeated twice. Is that on purpose? :) or am I hearing the wrong .wav
- After dismounting the humvee, the informant stays on top of the truck (this has been noted before).
Looking forward to you next work of art :)
Cheers,
Doc

the player NEVER get raised, is just that he SALUTE the Informatn, as you can see in the screen shoot...LOL
The "I hope this guy knows the way..." wav, is repeated 2 time, i did that on purpoese, It was suppose that one teammate start talking to much and the other one tell him to becuayet.
Yes, "SomeTimes(NOT alway)" the Informant get on the roof top, it was a problem that i just forgot to fix it, but i wil fix that and updated....
Thanks DocHoliday for gime somes feedback and bugs you notice(Even that only one was a bug).....
Thanks DocHoliday.

As galaxycrest say, there's a Nova-Quality on this map, the layout and the sounds are GREAT, Decoration Excellent (One of the best one), the Intro CLIP looks really good, rooms take down are great, Dialogs and tiles are really good, Over all this excellent work i rate it 10/10.

Environment, atmosphere, and realism makes this an enjoyable map. The gameplay is a little rough do to AI placement and accuracy. Many RPGs are set too close not giving you time to prioritize your targets or know what the heck happened for that matter. This causes you to die multiple times in the same area. Intro and custom waves were impressive. I especially liked how you used an old wave from LW, I have always wanted to do that but never learned how. Also your custom objectives did not register in the game but it might just be my game setup. All and all its worth playing and finishing. Nice job.
